River rafting and Tubing is a very popular activity at Pennygum. Experience the clean mountain water and beautiful scenery. There are trips to suit both the inexperienced and the more adventurous. A good experience is to take a rock art walk and discover the culture and paintings of the Bushmen and the caves they lived in. Half and full day walks are available. (full day is approx. R120-00 pp).

There are numerous hiking trails to choose from into the berg, horse rides in the foothills as well as overnight excursions. 

The Underberg / Himeville area is well known for its trout fishing. Most of the dams in the area are registered with the Underberg Himeville Trout Fishing Club. Bookings can be made once you are in the area.
